The Parent With Technology (PWT) coordinates activities for, and acts as a mentor to, the parents and guardians of the student participants in the Just Willing Foundation (JW). These activities are focused on creating a parent support system that enhances parenting skills and empowers parents to better support all of their children’s activities related to technology, whether in JW, at school or in other community programs. Activities include monthly parent meetings, parenting-skill classes, workshops, leadership retreats, parent-child outings, and parents’ review the Just Willing Foundation life-management skills curriculum taught in the after-school program.

The PWT goal is to increase and sustain parent participation by developing parenting clubs at each targeted JW school site. These parent leaders will be expected to plan and help coordinate increased parent involvement in the schools and address youth-related issues as a Just Willing Foundation advisory council.
